Do blood tests hurt?

My 13 year old daughter is going to need a blood test. (To test cholestrol, it's something they do in our drs office.) Now, I haven't had one in a while. Can you describe to her what it feels like, and also, tell her what will happen, and finally, tell her some relaxation things, that will make it easier to take her mind off it when its happening?
